Ubisoft has officially announced the release date for its next big IP: a “first-perspective” first-person game called “Assassin’s Creed.”
Ubisoft says it will release “Assassins Creed Unity” on Nov. 22, 2016.
The “first” in the Assassin’s Creed franchise, “Assignments: Unity” is set in the early 1700s and follows a group of rebels that travel to the “distant future” in search of the Templar Order.
It’s set in a world where the Assassins are the only true protectors of the human race and the Templars are a feared terrorist organization.
Ubisoft says “Associate” is a name that “recognizes” the role the Assassins play in the world and will be “fully compatible with all Assassin’s Clans and Assassin’s Swords.”
The Assassin’s creed has been in development for “almost a decade,” Ubisoft said in a statement.
Ubisoft also announced that the game’s “First Person mode” will be available in November for “a very limited time,” with “assassins” being able to use a “new-found ability” to “experience the full experience of the Assassin experience.”
The “AssAssins Creed” series is also expected to see the return of a “New York City” and a “Fantastic Four”-like setting in “Assistants.”
“Assignment: Unity is a highly anticipated first-Person Shooter set in Assassin’s Paradise.
The game will have its story and world revealed in full during a special event, set to be held on Nov 22, at the Ubisoft booth at E3,” Ubisoft says.
Ubisoft’s “Assets: Unity,” which is scheduled to launch in November, will also include “Assasins” and “Assists,” the game will feature four new missions, new maps and additional weapons.
It will also have “new and updated Assassin’s gear,” including “a new weapon, new apparel and a brand-new gameplay mechanic that will allow players to customize their Assassin’s experience.”
“The Assassin’s Blade” is also in development, with Ubisoft telling Gamasutra that “Assault on Titan: The Awakening” will launch on Nov 16, 2016 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with “Assaults on Titan” also in the works for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.
